In daylight

Two posts in one

In daylight it's a clean white pillar with the mascot on top and the team name running down the face. At dusk, the panel lights from inside and the whole thing becomes a beacon of Cuba City school spirit.

It stands next to the front step, at the end of the driveway, by the mailbox, in a planter on the patio, or in the window of a business that backs the team. It goes where you want people to see it.

How a Glow Post works

Secure it in the ground.
That's it.
Enjoy.

Stake it

Push the included ground stake into the lawn, garden bed, or planter and set the post on top. No tools, no wiring, no outlet.

Let the sun work

The solar panel in the cap charges the built-in battery all day, rain or shine.

Watch it turn on

At dusk, 40 LEDs light the team panel from the inside. It shuts off on its own in the morning and does it again tomorrow.

Questions

Is this the final design?

Not yet. The images on this page are concept previews. Final production artwork is approved before printing.

When will I get it?

Nothing is in production yet. When ordering opens, this page shows a pickup date before you pay.

Does joining cost anything?

No. Joining takes no payment and is not an order. We are simply gauging demand, and we are counting on the people who join to order when the window opens.

How many people does it take?

There is no set number. When enough people from Cuba City have raised their hands, we open ordering and email everyone on the list. We also look at how fast people sign up and how engaged the community is. The fastest way to get there is to share this page.

How does it charge?

A solar panel in the cap charges the built-in battery during the day. It works in cloudy weather too, though a full sunny day gives the longest glow. Place it where it gets direct sun for at least a few hours. A full charge gives up to eight hours of light.

Can it stay outside all year?

It's built for outdoor use in yards, planters and entryways. Like any solar light, bringing it in during ice storms or heavy snow will extend its life.

Does it have to go in the ground?

The post stands on its own indoors or in a sheltered spot. Outdoors, use the included ground stake so wind cannot tip it over.

Do you ship?

Not yet. Cuba City posts will be picked up free at Man Cave Cut Shop in Platteville, or delivered for $15 to addresses within 20 miles of our Platteville shop.

Is FanPillar affiliated with the school?

No. FanPillar is an independent Iowa company and this page is run by FanPillar. It is not operated by the school, a PTO, a booster club, a student council or any other organization, and no organization receives proceeds from these sales. Groups interested in running a future FanPillar fundraiser for their own school can read about it on the Fundraising page.
